Find the cause of a message and the next check.

  1. Source health statesThe Connectors page shows a health state for each source. Use the source health state to select troubleshooting checks and actions.
  2. “Can't reach the on-box model engine”The answer “Can't reach the on-box model engine” means that the assistant could not reach the model service on the appliance. This page also covers the busy answer.
  3. A listener receives nothingFind why Devexana does not receive syslog messages, SNMP traps or flow records from your devices.
  4. “The assistant says it has no local record”Find why the assistant has no local record for a question. Check which records and sources can supply an answer.
  5. Data looks staleCheck the record age. Start a new read of one source or one switch.
  6. A switch is listed but not readCheck why a listed switch has no port, neighbour or configuration data.
  7. Check an answer against its sourcesBefore you act on an answer or finding, check its claims against the source records. This page explains citation limits and how to report incorrect answers.
